Will AdvaMed member companies succeed in manufacturing 5,000 ventilators per week before 2020-07-01?

AdvaMed is an American medical device trade association and the largest medical device association in the world. AdvaMed stated in a recent press release that their member companies would be ramping up production of ventilators in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

The Advanced Medical Technology Association announced today that its member respiratory device companies have dramatically expanded the limits of their present production capacity in responding to the coronavirus outbreak, producing on average 2,000-3,000 ventilators per week, collectively, according to a recent survey of the seven member companies. In the coming weeks, company officials expect to ramp production to unprecedented levels, producing between an aggregated 5,000 and 7,000 ventilators per week in meeting the greatest needs across the nation. In 2019, when tallied together, these same companies were manufacturing approximately 700 ventilators per week for domestic distribution.

This boosted production is much needed. According to the Society of Critical Care Medicine:

U.S. acute care hospitals are estimated to own approximately 62,000 full-featured mechanical ventilators.

The addition of older hospital ventilators, SNS ventilators, and anesthesia machines increases the absolute number of ventilators to possibly above 200,000 units nationally.

A recent AHA webinar on COVID-19 projected that 30% (96 million) of the U.S. population will test positive, with 5% (4.8 million) being hospitalized. Of the hospitalized patients, 40% (1.9 million) would be admitted to the ICU, and 50% of the ICU admissions (960,000) would require ventilatory support.

This question asks:

Will AdvaMed member companies succeed in manufacturing 5,000 ventilators per week before 2020-07-01?

This question resolves positively to any statement from AdvaMed or a credible source reporting that AdvaMed member companies have succeeded manufacturing ventilators at or above their targeted rate. Production rates may be aggregated if the numbers are available. This question will resolved negatively if no such data is available by the resolve date.

Metaculus help: Predicting

Predictions are the heart of Metaculus. Predicting is how you contribute to the wisdom of the crowd, and how you earn points and build up your personal Metaculus track record.

The basics of predicting are very simple: move the slider to best match the likelihood of the outcome, and click predict. You can predict as often as you want, and you're encouraged to change your mind when new information becomes available.

The displayed score is split into current points and total points. Current points show how much your prediction is worth now, whereas total points show the combined worth of all of your predictions over the lifetime of the question. The scoring details are available on the FAQ.

Note: this question resolved before its original close time. All of your predictions came after the resolution, so you did not gain (or lose) any points for it.

Community Stats

Metaculus help: Community Stats

Use the community stats to get a better sense of the community consensus (or lack thereof) for this question. Sometimes people have wildly different ideas about the likely outcomes, and sometimes people are in close agreement. There are even times when the community seems very certain of uncertainty, like when everyone agrees that event is only 50% likely to happen.

When you make a prediction, check the community stats to see where you land. If your prediction is an outlier, might there be something you're overlooking that others have seen? Or do you have special insight that others are lacking? Either way, it might be a good idea to join the discussion in the comments.
